The products are being distributed through the Ethiopian Commercial Corporation; Ethiopian Industrial Resources Development Organization; and;
Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group, the ministry’s communications executive, Ato Wondimu Flate, told us.
Residents in all regions and urban administrations can access the products at reasonable prices through consumer cooperatives.
Ato Wondimu, who said that the products are sold at a low price because they are subsidized by the government, said that their prices will be displayed at the same price.
In addition to the products provided by the government, 1438 Saturday and Sunday markets are also selling industrial and agricultural products for the festival, the Communications Affairs Executive said.
In addition to ensuring that the public can access consumer products for the festival at reasonable prices, Ato Wondimu said that strict control will be exercised in conjunction with the regions to prevent intentional price increases.
He added that a task force has been formed in all regions and the two city administrations to do the same.
Ato Wondimu asked the public to report any illegal activities during the shopping period to the nearby security forces and the task force.
